At Alzahra Academy, our curriculum is designed to support the development of the whole child — academically, socially, spiritually and morally.
Our teaching and learning program is based on the Victorian Curriculum, providing students with a strong foundation across the key learning areas while also nurturing their Islamic identity, Arabic language skills and connection to the Qur’an.
As a new primary school opening in 2027, Alzahra Academy will initially offer classes from Prep to Year 2, with a curriculum designed to build strong foundations in literacy, numeracy, inquiry, faith, character and wellbeing.
We believe that every child is capable of learning, growing and achieving when they are supported in a safe, structured and nurturing environment.
Our curriculum will focus on:
Students will develop essential literacy and numeracy skills through explicit teaching, guided practice and meaningful application.
We aim to develop respectful, confident and responsible learners who understand the importance of kindness, honesty, service and personal discipline.
Our classrooms will be structured to support student engagement, positive behaviour and individual learning needs.
Students will engage with learning across the Victorian Curriculum, including English, Mathematics, Science, Humanities, Health and Physical Education, The Arts, Technologies, and Languages.
Islamic teaching, Qur’an and Arabic language learning will be integrated into the school experience to help students develop faith, character, manners and a strong sense of belonging.
